Queen's College is one of the leading co-educational boarding schools in the South West of England. There are over 684 pupils on role at present aged 4 to 18: 30% are boarders.
Pupils average 9.4 GCSEs each in the A to C range and 46% of all 'A' level papers taken over the last 5 years have been graded A or B. Last year 96% of all 'A' level candidates went on to University. Standards on entry are not over rigorous. Ten percent of our pupils are dyslexic and receive outstanding support teaching.
The school, a Methodist foundation, was established in 1843 and has extensive new buildings including science laboratories, a magnificent concert hall/theatre, an Astroturf hockey pitch and a fine new CDT building opened last year by Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Kent.
Special extra curricular interests include a wide range of sports, high quality music, drama and a commitment to the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.
